1970 Cougar standard convertible.

 

This is an untouched original with rusty floors.  Nicely optioned with 351W 2bbl engine, factory AC and floor shift. It has been dry in storage for over 25 years before we purchased it.

Car rolls freely and steers. Engine feels stuck but I'm also having trouble with the starter relay, so we'll keep working on it.  

​

Front torque boxes and floors will need replacement. Rear frame and front rails ahead of the cowl are clean. Drivers door is sagging and stuck, passenger door opens ok.

​

Seats are surprisingly nice and will clean up to be survivor quality. 3 spoke wheel has been covered with a wrap and is also pretty nice.  Great door panels. No radio.

Trunk floor is very good.

​

Core support is ok, fender aprons have bubbling in several spots as shown.  The previous owner tried to remove the hood hinges and several nuts pulled out of the panel. The hinges are in the trunk along with the jack and lug wrench. 

​

Tires all air up but one leaks down after a week or two.
