1943 Ward LaFrance, ex Altoona, PA "Fire Bureau #6". Driven to Ohio in '76 and stored inside since then. Starts easily, runs and lot drives. 12V conversion done when still in service. Previous owner installed a poly fuel tank and electric pump. Odometer shows 15k miles.

 

Hand brake only, needs brake work. Pump hasn't been used in 50 years but appears complete. Lights, siren, beacon all work. Waukesha engine has good oil pressure, seems to hold temperature ok but water pump occasionally drips. Twin ignition works - runs on distributor, mag or both.

 

Good Ohio title, original owner's manual and some documents included. I also have a set of 6 new, never mounted tires and tubes that go with it.

 

I've really enjoyed owning it the last few years but I need to downsize some of these projects.
